Dr. Beena Chintalapuri is a retired Professor of Psychology at Osmania University, Hyderabad. Telengana State.
She held several academic and administrative positions in her tenure; first women Registrar of Osmania University and Head of Psychology Department, Deputy Director of Academic Staff College and Dean of Satavahana University Social Sciences
Prof. Beena was assigned to initiate Sahayam Osmania University’ Psychological Counseling Center on Februalry 2010 in response to social unrest in the campus. She has been coordinating all the activities related to Sahayam as Director till date. .
She was also a Director of ICSSR (Indian Council of Social Science Research), Southern Region.
She was convenor of several national and international conferences – the notable ones are “Peace, Prosperity and Progress – Maritime Asia” conference.
She played a key role in 15 research projects, supported some of prestigious organisations like Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), European Union, ICSSR, UGC, and Global Fund; round 7
Since 2015 she started working in Telangana prisons.
She has been implementing an innovative prison reform program called Unnati which has achieved tremendous results –recidivism among unnati participants has been reduced from 80 % to 2%. She received numerous awards for her work in prisons, the most notable one is the prestigious “Ashoka Fellowship” Ashoka Fellowship is a gold standard or highest recognition in the world for social entrepreneurs and changemakers. Recently she was invited to present her work at Harvard University, USA.
Ms Genevive Angela David holds Master’s Degree in History, Sociology& Psychology, currently pursuing PhD. She is working full time as a Psychological Counselor at Sahayam since 2011 addressing general psychological issues of the campus community. She is certified in Pastoral Ministry in Health Care, (PMHC) Hospital based Counseling from St John’s Medical College Hospital, Bangalore.
She is highly skilled, compassionate, empathetic and solution oriented professional dedicated to providing exceptional care and implement effective plan for adolescent, young adult and women experiencing any mental/emotional health issue. She has more than two decades of practical counseling experience in addressing relevant issues such as Child rights, HIV&AIDs, Substance Abuse and Domestic Violence.

Ms. G. Cynthia Douglas (M.A., M.Phil. (Ph.D)) is Asst. Prfofessor (c) with the Department of Psychology, University College of Arts and Social Sciences, Osmania University. With a PG Certificate in Psychological Counseling from CCC, Vellore in 2007, Diploma in Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences from CDVL-HCU, Training in HIV Counseling from Saksham- OU, Harrison Assessments International and her recent Training in Trauma Awareness and Resilience from USA, she with an experience of over 13 years has been extending Counseling and support services as required from 2013 at Sahayam, OU Psychological Counseling Centre
Mr. Gundamalla Dayakar holds Master’s degree in Sociology& Philosphy. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Education. He is the Office Assistant for Sahayam and coordinates all the administrative related duties of office maintainance inclusive of registers for incoming and outgoing letters, Attendance, stock and of the front desk enabling the clients to follow the process of filling up the registration forms and follow up. He also takes charge of all financial processes and banking related work.
